Mission Statement: Flipanthropy was inspired by our desire and obligation to devote
more of our time, money, and resources to women in the world lacking
the basic necessities in life: food, shelter, safety, and education.
While we are constantly reminded, we are often neglectful of those
struggling everyday for what we take for granted. Our mission is to
give of ourselves but also to raise the awareness of others to
issues important to us and encourage them to give as well. In order
to fulfill our mission, we aspire to be creative, have fun, and
hopefully in the process motivate others to make philanthropy and
Flipanthropy a mission in their lives.
Renee Foutz and Sandra Uihlein, Co-founders and
Flipanthropists Renee and Sandra met back in 2000 when Renee and
Sandra's husband started their residency in emergency medicine. Over
the years, over long talks, daydreaming, and many desserts they came
up with the idea of FLIPANTHROPY. Fueled by the desire to truly help
others and to do the project together as friends, off they went.
Hailing from Ohio, Renee now resides in Grafton, WI. She leads a
double life-by-day (and sometimes night!) an ER Physician at St.
Luke's Medical Center and by night an avid Flipanthropist. Renee
loves to spend time with her puppies Winnie and Sadie, traveling
with friends and anything with chocolate and peanut butter.
Sandra grew up in Colorado and now also resides in Grafton, WI with
her husband Mike and daughters Brook and Zoe. This graphic designer
is very happy wading in a trout stream or working in the garden. Her
favorite things include; Hawaii, sand between her toes, white cake
and icing, and spreading the love of flipanthropy.
